Feature Story about Braselton Gallery

December 31st, 2012
It’s been an exciting couple of months for Braselton Gallery since we opened October 28th. In just 8 weeks the Gallery represents works from more than 30 artists, has a growing Facebook following, and has received great support from the community and surrounding local business. The artists are excited and honored that their work has been so well received. They are busy creating all kinds of new works including; potting benches, stepping stones, wine bottle trees, stained glass plant stakes, wood and ceramic birdhouses, and so much more…

We thank you all for your support and look forward to an exciting 2013!

Braselton Gallery
“Where Artists and Art Lovers
Collaborate, Create and Celebrate!”

Opening an art gallery has been a dream of mine for years and I am pleased to have the opportunity to open Braselton Gallery in downtown Braselton, GA.

I fell in love with art as a child, went on to study fine art and commercial photography in college then started a career in web designer/development. 15 years later I decided it was time for a career change. I enjoy the company of artists, collaborating with creative people, and being surrounded by beautiful works of art. Opening a gallery gives me the opportunity to help market and showcase local artists talents.

Over the years I’ve met artists who have put art on the back burner while they make their living in a job or career, often unrelated to art. I’ve met wonderful artists with incredible talents, many of whom are modest about their talents. Some always had an interest in art but waited until retirement for the time to explore their passion. Then there are those who make art for a living, who have to promote their work and market themselves. I discovered that many artists enjoy creating art more than the business of selling their art.

I want to help artists share their works with those who will appreciate them.
